How to Get an API Key
To use Lugath Translate, you need an API key. Follow these steps to obtain your API key:
- Go to https://app.lugath.com and create a new account.
- In the menu, navigate to the “Website” section and click the “Connect” button.
- Enter your website name.
- Select WordPress as your website technology
- Select the original language of your website.
- Choose the target languages you want to translate into.
- Enter your website domain.
- Once completed, you will see the generated Integration key. Copy it.
- Paste the Integration key into the “Lugath” settings in your WordPress admin panel.
- Visit your website and check if the language switcher appears in the bottom right corner.
If the switcher is visible, the script is correctly loaded.
Enabling Server-Side Rendering (SSR)
If you want to enable server-side rendering (SSR):
1. Go to https://app.lugath.com and open your website settings.
2. Navigate to the “General” tab under “Site Settings.”
3. Enable the “Server-Side Rendering” option.
4. Go to “Lugath” settings in your WordPress admin panel.
5. Enable server-side redirection
6. Then select the langauges from Proxy Redirect Language List
Once enabled, translated pages will be stored and served via Lugath’s CDN.
Installation
- Go to the WordPress admin panel.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Upload the ZIP file and activate the plugin.
- Go to the “Lugath Translation” section in the admin menu and enter your API key.
