FAQ

Where can I find the API key?

Login to your dashboard at www.searchiq.co and select “Interface” from the menu on the left. You will find your api key at the bottom of the page.

Why isn’t SearchIQ working for my website?

Assuming you have installed everything according the instructions, there could be two reasons you still can’t see SearchIQ working as planned:

  1. Your site doesn’t have a search bar – In this case, go to options tab in the SearchIQ plugin admin. You will see options to add a search bar as a widget or as an icon in your site’s menu.

  2. If your site does have a search bar – The search box input element name could be something other than the default value of ‘s’. Inspect the search box element on your site and copy the name into the “Search box name” field found under the “Options” tab in SearchIQ plugin.

If you are still facing a problem, please drop us an email at support@searchiq.co.

I created 3 articles about the powerlifting moves, squat, bench and deadlift. Only two had the phrase resistance training but all three show up in the search result, which has to be the AI. Looking forward to checking it out further, and am recommending to all my clients.

SearchIQ is a breeze to implement and works perfectly for any type of website. I’m surprised it doesn’t have more users and reviews—it’s a hidden gem packed with powerful search features. I think the pricing page might intimidate some, but I was fortunate to discover it on AppSumo.

As a non-developer I found Search IQ fairly easy to understand and implement. And now that it has been implemented it’s made a big difference in the way that our customers search and actually find what they are looking for. Over time I could certainly see some opportunity for the plugin to evolve to give even more control over the search results display (to show attributes or to suppress pricing on the results cards) but it’s 1000% better than out of the box WP search or the tool we were using before to handle faceted search (GridBuilder)

With a little background configuration this has proved to be a real asset to our website – very versatile and a hundred times better than the Google site search – with fuzzy matching etc and the ability to ignore certain page urls.

Started using this a couple minutes ago and found it doesn’t give thumnail images for Products. It does for posts but not products. Quickly turned it off.
