Miglog – Blog Migration for Shopify helps WordPress administrators scan, configure, and export blog posts and metadata for migration to Shopify. It automatically formats supported content, including line breaks, paragraphs, and shortcodes, to prepare posts for Shopify. CSV generation and download inside WordPress are completely free.
This plugin creates the CSV file but does not import posts directly into Shopify. To complete the migration, you need a compatible Shopify import app. The generated CSV is designed for Blog Importer, a separate Shopify app with a free allowance and paid plans for additional imports.
Blog Importer also offers image migration and SEO redirect features. Redirecting existing WordPress URLs to their corresponding Shopify URLs can help maintain access to your posts and preserve search engine visibility during migration. Search rankings cannot be guaranteed.

Custom Field Migration
Custom field migration is intended for advanced users familiar with WordPress custom fields and Shopify metafields.
Before importing custom field data into Shopify, create the corresponding metafield definitions in your Shopify store. Make sure the namespaces, keys, and data types match the exported CSV. This WordPress plugin does not create metafield definitions in Shopify.
Privacy
WordPress content is processed in the browser during CSV generation and is not automatically uploaded to Blog Importer or Shopify by this plugin. The plugin provides a CSV download and an optional link to the separate Shopify app. Uploading the CSV to another service is a separate action initiated by the user and is subject to that service’s terms and privacy policy.
External Services
This plugin creates and downloads a Shopify-ready CSV inside WordPress for free. It does not require a connection to Blog Importer to generate the CSV.
To import the generated CSV into Shopify, you can use Blog Importer, a separate Shopify app. Blog Importer includes a free allowance and paid plans for additional imports. It also provides additional migration features, including image migration and SEO redirects from existing WordPress URLs to corresponding Shopify URLs. Feature availability may depend on the app’s current plans and settings.
These import, image migration, and redirect features are provided by the separate Shopify app and are not performed by this WordPress plugin. Properly configured redirects can help users and search engines reach the new URLs, but search engine rankings cannot be guaranteed.
After CSV generation, this plugin provides an optional link to Blog Importer on the Shopify App Store. This link is navigational only: the WordPress plugin does not automatically transmit blog content, personal data, or credentials to Shopify or Blog Importer.

To build the production assets from source:
- Navigate to the
source/directory:cd source - Install dependencies:
yarn install - Build the admin bundle:
yarn build
The built assets are output to assets/dist/admin.js and assets/dist/admin.css.
Installation
- Upload the
miglog-blog-migration-for-shopifyfolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory, or upload the release ZIP file via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin in your WordPress dashboard. - Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
- Navigate to Miglog in the WordPress Admin sidebar.
- Review the scan results, choose your migration settings, and generate and download the CSV.
- Use a compatible Shopify import app, such as Blog Importer, to import the CSV into Shopify. Import features and fees are determined by that separate app.
