Description
One plugin instead of five. The AI chat assistant, product recommendations, agentic add to cart, product FAQs with schema, re-engagement journeys and revenue attribution are one connection and one dashboard — not six plugins fighting over your product pages.
Rynex adds an AI chatbot and sales assistant to your WooCommerce storefront — like having ChatGPT trained on your own catalog, minus the API keys. Customers describe what they need in plain language; the AI agent recommends products from your live catalog, answers questions about shipping, sizing and stock — and it doesn’t stop at recommending. When the shopper says “add it”, the assistant puts the product into the WooCommerce cart itself, confirms only after your store actually accepted it, and offers a one-tap path to checkout.
Free plan included: 100 conversations per month at no cost — no credit card, no API key, no AI provider account. Connect and try it on your real catalog in minutes.
Available in 13 languages — the settings screens ship with English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Arabic and Indonesian; WordPress picks the one matching your site language. (The shopper-facing assistant answers in whatever language the shopper writes, independently of this.)
See the revenue, not just the chats. Every order driven by a conversation is attributed, so your dashboard answers the only question that matters: how much money is this assistant actually making? Most chat plugins stop at “conversations handled” — Rynex reports attributed orders and revenue per conversation.
It is a conversational commerce layer rather than a scripted chat bot: there are no decision trees to build and no keyword rules to maintain. The assistant reads your real catalog, so recommendations stay correct as prices, stock and products change.
One-click setup — install the plugin, press Connect to Rynex, done:
- Your catalog syncs automatically (products, prices, stock — kept fresh via webhooks).
- The chat widget appears on your storefront instantly. No code, no snippet pasting.
- Orders are attributed to the AI conversations that drove them.
- Manage everything — widget design, analytics, conversations — from your Rynex dashboard (one click away in WP admin).
What the assistant does
- Product recommendations — acts as a product finder, matching shoppers to items from your live WooCommerce catalog.
- Customer support answers — replies to questions about shipping, returns, sizing and availability.
- Order tracking questions — points customers to their order status instead of opening a support ticket.
- Agentic add to cart — shoppers don’t have to click anything: “add it” (or naming a product from the conversation) makes the assistant put the product into the WooCommerce cart, confirm after the store accepts it, and offer a “Go to checkout” button. Ambiguous requests get a clarifying choice, never a guess; you control which products the AI may add, per product.
- Upsell and cross-sell — suggests complementary products inside the conversation.
- Multilingual, for real — replies in whichever language the shopper writes, detected per message (romanized Urdu/Hindi/Arabic included). The assistant’s fixed messages are translated automatically, so an English catalog can serve shoppers in any language.
- Human handover — hands the conversation to a live chat agent when a person is needed.
- AI FAQ on product pages (2.9.0) — product FAQs generated from the questions shoppers actually asked your assistant, approved by you in the dashboard, rendered on the product page server-side with FAQPage schema — so ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google can read and quote them. Theme removed the hooks? Use the
[rynex_faq]shortcode. - Agent readiness out of the box — your site automatically serves the discovery files the AI ecosystem looks for (llms.txt, llms-full.txt, an A2A agent card, auth.md, an API catalog) and declares Content-Signal in robots.txt, so ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and shopping agents can find and read your store.
- Revenue attribution — reports which conversations produced orders, not just how many chats happened.
No API keys. No surprise AI bills.
Most free AI chatbot plugins are “bring your own key”: you create an OpenAI or Google account, generate an API key, paste it into WordPress, and then pay the AI provider per message — with a bill that grows with your traffic, and a bot that stops answering when a budget cap is hit. Rynex is hosted: there is no key to create, AI usage is included in your plan, your monthly cost is predictable, and the assistant never disappears from your storefront mid-conversation.
How the free plans actually compare:
- Setup — Rynex: install, press Connect, done. BYO-key chatbots: create an OpenAI/Google account, generate a key, paste it in, keep it valid.
- Who pays for AI — Rynex: included in your plan, fixed monthly cost. BYO-key: you, per message, on a separate AI-provider invoice that grows with traffic.
- When the limit is hit — Rynex: nothing switches off and nothing extra is charged — the assistant keeps answering. BYO-key with a budget cap: the bot can vanish from your storefront mid-day.
- What you can measure — Rynex: attributed orders and revenue per conversation. Typical chatbots: message counts.
On-site AI recommendations (“You may also like”)
Beyond the chat, Rynex can embed an AI-picked product block natively on your product pages — personalized from what each shopper browses, styled to match your theme automatically, positioned by drag & drop from the dashboard. Clicks on the block flow into the same revenue attribution as the chat.
Product FAQs for your whole catalog
Every product page should answer the questions shoppers actually ask. Writing those answers for a 1,200-product catalog by hand is why most stores never do it.
The same connection also generates a product FAQ for each item in your catalog and renders it on the product page as a clean accordion plus valid FAQPage structured data — server-side, so Googlebot, GPTBot and PerplexityBot read it without running JavaScript.
Where the questions come from. The FAQ is written from your own product data — title, description, attributes, categories. If shoppers have already chatted on that product page, their real questions are used too, so the FAQ answers what people actually asked instead of what a template guessed. It works from day one on a store with zero traffic.
How it works
- Press Connect to Rynex (free account, no credit card, no AI provider key).
- Open Product Content in your Rynex dashboard, select products, and generate.
- Review and edit the drafts, then publish the ones you like.
- Published FAQs appear on the matching product page automatically, with FAQPage schema.
Generation and review happen in the Rynex dashboard, not in WP admin. This plugin connects your catalog and renders the published result on your storefront.
What the free plan covers: 50 product FAQs when you start, then 10 more each month. That is enough to cover your best sellers and see the result on real product pages; larger catalogs need a paid plan. There is no separate AI bill and no API key to bring — generation runs on Rynex.
You stay in control. Nothing is published automatically: every FAQ is a draft until you approve it. You can edit any question or answer, unpublish at any time, and turn the whole display off with one switch. If your theme removed the standard WooCommerce product hooks, place the [rynex_faq] shortcode wherever you want the block.
No duplicate schema. If the chat widget is on the same page, it detects the server-rendered block and does not emit a second FAQPage — so you never ship two competing schemas to search engines.
No WooCommerce? It still works. On a plain WordPress site Rynex runs as an AI chatbot for WordPress: press Connect and the assistant answers from your own content — your home page is indexed automatically, and you add pages, posts, PDFs or plain text from your Rynex dashboard. Product recommendations, add to cart, the on-site recommendations block and revenue attribution need WooCommerce; install it later and one button turns them on.
Requirements: HTTPS and WordPress 6.2+, with the WordPress REST API reachable. WooCommerce stores additionally need WooCommerce 8.0+; pretty permalinks are recommended but not required, and subdirectory installs connect too.
External services
This plugin connects your store to the Rynex platform (api.rynex.io), operated by Rynex. It is required for everything the plugin does — without a Rynex connection the plugin is inert.
What is sent and when:
- Product FAQ generation (dashboard-side): FAQs are generated by Rynex from the catalog data your store already synced on connect (product title, description, attributes, categories) and, where they exist, the questions shoppers asked the assistant on that product page. Generation is started by you from the Rynex dashboard; this plugin sends nothing extra for it and no product content leaves your site beyond the catalog sync described below.
- Product FAQ display (2.9.0+, WooCommerce stores): when you publish a product FAQ from your Rynex dashboard, the plugin fetches that FAQ content from Rynex (authenticated with the plugin secret) and caches it locally, so it can render the FAQ and its FAQPage schema on the matching product page. Only product IDs are sent; you can turn the display off with the “Show AI FAQ on product pages” switch.
- On connect (WooCommerce store): your store URL, a WooCommerce REST API key the plugin creates for Rynex (read/write — used to sync your catalog and register webhooks), your WordPress/WooCommerce version numbers, and (2.7.1+) the connecting administrator’s email address (falling back to the site admin email) — used as your Rynex account contact so Rynex can reach you about your assistant. Service communication only; it is never sold or shared. Since 2.12.0 the connect request also carries your site’s REST API base URL, whether permalinks are plain or pretty, and the HTTP status your own REST API returned to a local check — diagnostics that let Rynex tell you exactly why a connection failed. Since 2.13.0 it also carries your site’s language setting (the WordPress locale, e.g.
de_DE) so the assistant’s default proactive message is created in your language. - On connect (WordPress site without WooCommerce): your site URL, your site’s REST API base URL, your WordPress and plugin version numbers, the administrator email as above, the same permalink/REST diagnostics as above (2.12.0+), your site language (2.13.0+), and a one-time pairing token — the plugin publishes only the token’s SHA-256 hash at /wp-json/rynex/v1/pair-verify for five minutes so Rynex can verify you control the site. No API key is created. Rynex then fetches your home page once to seed the assistant’s knowledge.
- While connected (both modes): your site loads the Rynex widget script; conversations are processed by Rynex to power the assistant and analytics. The widget stores an anonymous visitor ID in the browser and sends it with conversation events; on pages it recognizes as product pages it also reports the page URL and product identifier, so Rynex can personalize the assistant and the optional on-site “You may also like” recommendations. Setting
ShopAgentConfig.trackingConsent = falsedisables both the stored ID and the browsing signal. WooCommerce stores only: order and product webhooks are sent to Rynex for catalog freshness and revenue attribution. - Visitor audiences (both modes): to let you show a welcome message, coupon or other widget screen only to certain visitors, the widget also reports page views and widget opens (page URL, referrer, UTM parameters, device type, language) together with the anonymous visitor ID and a session ID stored in the browser under
shopagent_visitor_idandshopagent_session_id. From this Rynex derives five coarse labels across visits within 30 days — returning visitor, opened the widget before, chatted before, came from a paid campaign, browsed 3+ products — and returns only those labels to the widget; no browsing history leaves Rynex. Labels are computed only when one of your widget rules targets an audience. SettingShopAgentConfig.trackingConsent = false(or callingwindow.ShopAgent.optOut()) sends page views and widget opens without any visitor or session identifier (aggregate counts only) and disables audience labels for that shopper; if a shopper withdraws consent later, the widget dispatches theshopagent:consent-changedevent and Rynex erases the behavioural data derived from that visitor ID (product views, interest profile, visitor/session identifiers on traffic events). Conversations are kept for service delivery. Because this is behavioural targeting, describe it in your privacy policy and wire your consent tool to the setting above. - Signed-in shoppers (2.11.0+, both modes): when a logged-in customer opens a page, the widget tag carries a signed customer token (the WooCommerce/WordPress customer ID, e-mail address and name) that expires after 24 hours; it is sent to Rynex with the shopper’s chat requests so your inbox can show who is talking. Nothing is emitted for guests.
- Store admins browsing the storefront (2.13.0+, both modes): when a logged-in user who can manage the plugin (
manage_woocommerce, ormanage_optionswithout WooCommerce) views a page, the widget tag carriesdata-internal="1"and the widget marks its page-view and widget-open telemetry as internal, so your own visits are excluded from the traffic statistics Rynex computes. The flag identifies no person — it is a boolean on events that already exist. For these requests the plugin asks page caches not to store the page (DONOTCACHEPAGE, plus no-cache headers sent early in the request) so the flag is not served to a shopper from a cached copy; caching layers that ignore both signals for logged-in users are outside the plugin’s control. - On the settings page: a status check identifying your store; from 2.7.1 it also carries the administrator email above so existing connections gain an account contact without reconnecting, and from 2.13.0 your site language. The response includes your Rynex plan and trial end date, which the settings page shows.
- Event bridge (2.6.0+, both modes): Rynex delivers signed event notifications (contact captured, order attributed, handover requested…) back to your site’s REST API at /wp-json/rynex/v1/events so other plugins can react via WordPress hooks. Deliveries are HMAC-signed and contain no message content. You can pause this any time from the settings page.

Developer hooks
Since 2.6.0 the plugin fires WordPress actions for Rynex events, so automation plugins (FluentCRM, Uncanny Automator…) and custom code can react to what happens in the assistant — no polling, no API key.
Add a captured shopper to FluentCRM in three lines:
add_action( 'rynex_contact_captured', function ( $data, $meta ) {
FluentCrmApi( 'contacts' )->createOrUpdate( array( 'email' => $data['email'] ) );
}, 10, 2 );
Every event also fires the generic hook: add_action( 'rynex_event', fn( $type, $data, $meta ) => ..., 10, 3 ). Event types: contact.captured, consent.granted, consent.revoked, order.attributed, order.reversed, conversation.completed, handover.requested, handover.completed, journey.email_sent. Deliveries are HMAC-signed by Rynex and verified before any hook fires; $meta['delivery_id'] deduplicates retries. Pause the bridge any time from the settings page.

Installation
- In WordPress go to Plugins Add New, search for Rynex, and press Install Now, then Activate. (Or upload the plugin ZIP under Plugins Add New Upload Plugin.)
- Open WooCommerce Rynex AI (on a site without WooCommerce: Settings Rynex AI) and press Connect to Rynex. A free account is created for you; no credit card and no AI provider key are needed.
- Your catalog syncs automatically and the chat widget goes live on your storefront.
- To generate product FAQs, open Product Content in your Rynex dashboard (one click from the settings page), select products and press Generate. Review the drafts, then publish.
- Published FAQs render on the matching product page automatically. If your theme removed the standard WooCommerce product hooks, put the
[rynex_faq]shortcode in your product template instead.
Requirements: WordPress 6.2+ over HTTPS with the REST API reachable. WooCommerce stores need WooCommerce 8.0+. The FAQ display requires this plugin at version 2.9.0 or newer.
To turn the FAQ display off without disconnecting, uncheck Show AI FAQ on product pages on the settings screen.
FAQ
-
Do I generate the FAQs inside WordPress?
-
No. Selection, generation, review and publishing all happen in your Rynex dashboard, one click from the plugin’s settings page. This plugin connects your catalog and renders the FAQs you publish on your product pages. If you were looking for a generator that runs entirely inside WP admin, this is not it.
-
How many product FAQs do I get for free?
-
50 when you start, then 10 more each month, on the free plan. That is designed to cover your best sellers and let you judge the output on real product pages. A 1,000-product catalog needs a paid plan to be covered completely. There is no separate AI bill and no API key to bring — generation runs on Rynex.
-
Do I need an OpenAI or other AI provider key?
-
No. That is deliberate. You do not create an account with an AI provider, you do not paste a key into WordPress, and you do not get a second invoice that scales with usage.
-
Will this produce duplicate FAQPage schema on my product pages?
-
Not from Rynex. The FAQ is rendered server-side and the chat widget detects that block and suppresses its own client-side FAQ, so only one FAQPage is emitted. If a separate SEO or FAQ plugin also outputs FAQPage markup on the same product, that one is outside our control — turn one of the two off.
-
Is anything published to my product pages automatically?
-
No. Every generated FAQ is a draft until you approve and publish it. You can edit any question or answer before publishing, unpublish later, and switch the entire display off with Show AI FAQ on product pages.
-
Will the FAQ work if my theme removed the WooCommerce product hooks?
-
Yes — put the
[rynex_faq]shortcode where you want the block in your product template. Some block themes need this. -
Is Rynex an AI shopping assistant or a sales chatbot?
-
Both. Shoppers describe what they need in plain language and Rynex acts as an AI shopping assistant — recommending products from your live catalog, comparing options, and adding items to the cart. Because every order driven by a conversation is attributed, it works as a sales chatbot that reports the revenue it actually produced, not just message counts.
-
Is my store “agent ready” (llms.txt, AI agent card)?
-
Yes — since 2.7.0 your site automatically serves the discovery files the AI ecosystem looks for: llms.txt and llms-full.txt generated from your real pages and catalog, an A2A agent card, auth.md guidance for agents, an RFC 9727 API catalog, and Content-Signal directives in robots.txt. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and shopping agents can find and read your store out of the box; a settings switch turns the whole set off.
-
I connected but I don’t see the widget on my store
-
Almost always a caching or optimization plugin is serving pages cached before you connected. Purge your site cache (and any hosting-level cache), then reload your storefront in a private window. From 2.7.2 the Rynex settings page checks your homepage and warns you when this is happening.
-
Connect fails with “REST API (/wp-json/) is not reachable”
-
Rynex verifies your store by calling its WordPress REST API (
/wp-json/) from our servers. If a security plugin or firewall (Wordfence, iThemes/Solid Security, Cloudflare WAF, a hosting-level rule) blocks that API, the settings page now says so and shows the HTTP code it got. Allow the WordPress REST API for Rynex — add the IP address shown in the error message to your firewall’s allowlist, or exempt/wp-json/for unauthenticated requests — then press Connect again. Plain permalinks and subdirectory installs are fine since 2.12.0. -
Is Rynex free?
-
Yes — the Free plan includes 100 conversations per month with the full assistant (recommendations, add to cart, revenue attribution). No credit card and no API key are required. Paid plans add more conversations and advanced features.
-
Can the chatbot add products to the cart?
-
Yes — in two ways. Every recommended product card has an add-to-cart button, and since 2.8 the assistant is agentic: the shopper can simply reply “add it” (or name the product) and the assistant adds it to the WooCommerce cart itself, confirms once the store accepted it, and offers a one-tap “Go to checkout” button. If the request is ambiguous the assistant asks which product — it never guesses — and you can exclude any product from AI adding with its “AI add to cart” flag.
-
How do I see the revenue the assistant generates?
-
Orders placed after an AI conversation are attributed to that conversation. Your Rynex dashboard shows attributed orders and revenue — not just chat counts — so you can judge the assistant by the sales it actually produced.
-
Do I need a Rynex account first?
-
No. Pressing Connect to Rynex provisions your workspace automatically; open the dashboard any time from WP admin.
-
Is this an AI chatbot or a scripted chat bot?
-
It is an AI chatbot. There are no decision trees, keyword rules or canned flows to build — the assistant reads your live WooCommerce catalog and answers in natural language.
-
Does it work with WooCommerce HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage)?
-
Yes. The plugin declares compatibility with HPOS (custom order tables) and with the block-based Cart and Checkout.
-
Can a human agent take over the conversation?
-
Yes. A conversation can be handed over to a live chat agent when the shopper asks for a person or the assistant is not confident.
-
Which AI model does the assistant use?
-
The assistant runs on large language models operated by Rynex on its own infrastructure. You never paste an API key and you never get a surprise bill from an AI provider — usage is included in your Rynex plan (the Free plan covers 100 conversations per month).
-
Can it recommend products from my catalog?
-
Yes — that is its main job. It works as a product finder over your live catalog, so recommendations follow your real prices, stock and product data.
-
Does the chatbot answer in my customers’ language?
-
Yes. The shopper’s language is detected per message — including romanized text such as Urdu or Hindi written in Latin letters — and the assistant replies in that language. Its fixed messages (order tracking, checkout guidance and so on) are translated automatically, so this is not limited to a fixed list of languages.
-
Why does the plugin create a WooCommerce API key?
-
Rynex syncs your catalog through the standard WooCommerce REST API. The key is created the same way WooCommerce’s own app-authorization flow creates keys, is labeled “Rynex”, and is deleted when you disconnect or uninstall.
-
Do I need an OpenAI, ChatGPT or Google Gemini API key?
-
No. Rynex is fully hosted — you never create an AI provider account, never paste an API key, and never receive a separate AI bill. That is the main difference from “bring your own key” chatbot plugins.
-
Will my AI costs grow with traffic?
-
No. AI usage is included in your Rynex plan. The Free plan covers 100 conversations per month; paid plans have fixed monthly prices. There is no per-token or per-message metering passed on to you.
-
What happens when I reach the Free plan limit?
-
Nothing switches off: the assistant keeps answering your shoppers, and you are never charged automatically. Going over the quota simply shows up in your dashboard as a nudge to pick a bigger plan.
-
Can it show product recommendations outside the chat?
-
Yes. The on-site “You may also like” block embeds AI-picked products directly on your product pages. It is personalized per shopper, matches your theme’s design automatically, and you position it visually (drag & drop) from the Rynex dashboard.
-
How does the AI know my products?
-
Your catalog syncs through the standard WooCommerce REST API on connect and stays fresh via webhooks. The assistant answers from your live products — real prices, stock and variations — not from a stale copy.
-
Does it work on WordPress sites without WooCommerce?
-
Yes. Since 2.5.0 Rynex runs on any WordPress site: press Connect and it answers from your own content — pages, posts, PDFs or plain text you add in the Rynex dashboard. Product recommendations, add to cart and revenue attribution stay WooCommerce-only; they appear the moment you install WooCommerce and press “Enable commerce features”. Note that the Rynex page moves from Settings to the WooCommerce menu once WooCommerce is active — the button is there.
-
Does it slow my site down?
-
The widget is a single deferred script served from a CDN; the on-site recommendations block reserves its space before loading (no layout shift) and fetches data only when it approaches the viewport.
-
How do I remove everything?
-
Disconnect from the Rynex settings page (removes webhooks and the widget), then delete the plugin. Uninstalling also cleans up the API key and all stored options.

Changelog
2.14.0
- New in the listing: product FAQs. Rynex can now write a FAQ for every product in your catalog and this plugin renders it on the product page with FAQPage structured data — server-side, so search engines and AI crawlers read it without running JavaScript. The display shipped in 2.9.0; what is new is that generation now covers your whole catalog in bulk from the dashboard.
- New: an Installation section, and a description that says plainly where generation happens (the Rynex dashboard, not WP admin) and what the free plan covers (50 product FAQs to start, then 10 a month).
- The AI chatbot, product recommendations, agentic add to cart, journeys and revenue attribution are unchanged and still the core of the plugin.
2.13.0
- New: your own visits no longer count. When a store admin browses the storefront, the widget tag carries
data-internal="1"and the widget marks its telemetry as internal, so the traffic statistics Rynex computes (page views, widget opens, engagement) reflect shoppers only — not you checking your own site. The plugin asks page caches not to store those pages so the flag is not served to visitors from a cached copy. - New: the settings page shows your plan and trial status — “Plan: Free — 100 conversations per month” (the limit comes from your Rynex plan) or the date your trial ends and that you continue on the Free plan afterwards. A finished trial never removes the widget from your storefront.
- New: your site language is sent when you connect, so the assistant’s default proactive message (“Looking for something specific? Ask me…”, shown after 20 seconds on a page) is created in your language. You can edit or delete it any time in Widget Studio.
- Updated: the External services section describes the site language sent at connect and the internal flag on admin page views.
2.12.1
- Updated: the External services section now describes visitor audiences — the widget reports page views and widget opens (page URL, referrer, UTM parameters, device type, language) with the anonymous visitor and session IDs so Rynex can derive coarse, cross-visit audiences (returning, opened the widget before, chatted before, arrived from a paid campaign, browsed 3+ products) that you can target from Widget Studio. It also lists the browser storage involved and how a consent tool opts a shopper out (
ShopAgentConfig.trackingConsent = falseorwindow.ShopAgent.optOut(), which also erases the derived behavioural data). No plugin code changes.
2.12.0
- Fixed: stores with plain permalinks or WordPress in a subdirectory could not connect (the connection check ignored the site’s REST base). Both now connect.
- Improved: when your site’s REST API is blocked by a security plugin or firewall, or when your host blocks our servers, the settings page now says exactly that (and which IP to allow) instead of a generic error.
2.11.0
- New: signed-in shoppers are recognised in the Rynex inbox — your support agents see the shopper’s name, email and recent orders next to the conversation. No setup needed: for logged-in visitors the widget tag carries a short-lived signed customer token; guests are unchanged and nothing is sent for them.
2.10.0
- New: the plugin’s settings screens are now available in 13 languages. Added French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Arabic and Indonesian alongside the existing Turkish, German and Spanish — WordPress picks the one matching your site language automatically.
- Fixed: singular/plural counters (“1 product synced”, “3 knowledge sources indexed”) were falling back to English in Turkish, German and Spanish because the compiled translation files were missing the plural entries.
- Fixed: the product-page FAQ strings added in 2.9.0 were not translatable; the translation template is refreshed and all 13 languages cover every string.
2.9.0
- New: AI FAQ on product pages. FAQs you generate and approve in the Rynex dashboard — sourced from the questions shoppers actually asked your assistant on that product page — now render on the product page itself, server-side, with valid FAQPage schema. AI assistants and search engines can read them without executing JavaScript.
- The block uses your theme’s fonts, appears between the product tabs and related products, and can be disabled with one switch (“Show AI FAQ on product pages”). Themes that removed the standard WooCommerce hooks can place the
[rynex_faq]shortcode instead. - Efficient by design: the plugin keeps a small manifest of which products have a published FAQ (refreshed hourly) and caches each FAQ locally, so product pages never wait on Rynex; dashboard edits refresh the cache instantly through the event bridge.
2.8.0
- New: agentic add to cart. The assistant no longer just points at buttons — when a shopper says “add it” or names a product from the conversation, the assistant itself puts the product into the WooCommerce cart, confirms only after your store actually accepted it, and offers a one-tap “Go to checkout” button. Ambiguous requests get a clarifying choice instead of a guess; out-of-stock products are never added; the per-product “AI add to cart” flag decides what the AI may add.
- New: the assistant now replies in whichever language the shopper writes. The language is detected per message (romanized Urdu/Hindi/Arabic included) and the assistant’s fixed messages are translated automatically — an English-catalog store can serve shoppers in any language.
- Improved: “confirm order” gets a direct hand-off to checkout instead of a generic answer; “cancel my order” requests are routed to your team; order tracking asks again politely when the shopper replies without an order number.
- These capabilities run on the Rynex service your store is connected to, so they are already live on connected stores — this release updates the listing, documentation and FAQ. No plugin code changes; updating is optional.
2.7.2
- New: storefront visibility self-check. If the assistant is enabled but the widget cannot be seen on your homepage (usually a caching or optimization plugin serving old pages), the settings page now tells you exactly that — naming the active caching plugin when it can — instead of leaving you guessing.
2.7.1
- When you connect, the plugin now sends your WordPress admin email address to Rynex so we can create your account contact and reach you about your store’s assistant (service emails only — see the External services section). Existing connected stores are updated automatically the next time the settings page talks to Rynex; no reconnect needed.
2.7.0
- New: agent readiness files. Your site now automatically serves /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt (generated from your real pages and live catalog), an A2A agent card at /.well-known/agent-card.json introducing the assistant, sign-in guidance for agents at /auth.md, and an RFC 9727 API catalog at /.well-known/api-catalog pointing to the WordPress REST API and the public WooCommerce Store API.
- New: Content-Signal directives are added to your robots.txt (search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=no), declaring how AI systems may use your content.
- Everything is generated from data that is already public on your site, with no AI calls and no extra requests; a physical file in your web root always takes precedence, and a settings-page switch turns the whole set off.
- Honesty by design: no MCP or OAuth metadata is published, because your site does not run those endpoints — the files never claim capabilities that do not exist. The agent card is only served while your site is connected to Rynex.
2.6.0
- New: developer event bridge. Rynex now delivers signed events (contact captured, order attributed, order reversed, handover requested/completed, conversation completed, consent granted/revoked) to your site as WordPress hooks — subscribe with add_action( ‘rynex_event’, …, 10, 3 ) or the type-specific shortcuts like rynex_contact_captured. Works with FluentCRM, Uncanny Automator and custom code. See the “Developer hooks” section.
- New: a settings-page switch pauses event delivery to this site at any time.
- Deliveries are HMAC-signed and verified before any hook fires; duplicate deliveries are filtered automatically; a fatal error in your listener never breaks the delivery.
- Updating the plugin is enough — no reconnect needed; Rynex detects 2.6.0 automatically.
2.5.1
- Fixed: the settings page said “1 knowledge sources” — counts are now singular/plural correct in every language.
- Listing: added the knowledge-mode screenshot (WordPress without WooCommerce).
2.5.0
- New: Rynex now works on WordPress sites without WooCommerce. Press Connect and the assistant answers from your site’s content — your home page is indexed automatically, and you add pages, posts, PDFs or plain text from your Rynex dashboard.
- New: installed WooCommerce later? One button — “Enable commerce features” — adds product recommendations, add-to-cart from the chat and revenue attribution to the assistant you already have.
- New: the assistant remembers what a returning visitor was interested in and greets them accordingly (no personal data is stored — only your own catalog categories, and it stays off when your consent tool says no).
- The on-site “You may also like” block is now on by default for new connections, and its clicks count toward the revenue each conversation produced.
- Fixed: on sites without WooCommerce the settings page now counts knowledge sources instead of showing a catalog sync that will never run, links back to the right menu after connecting, and no longer prints a database notice on disconnect.
- Fixed: the pretty-permalink requirement is now only shown on WooCommerce stores — pairing works with plain permalinks.
2.4.1
- New: pre-connect requirements check on the settings page — pretty permalinks, HTTPS, domain-root install and WooCommerce version are verified up front with a one-line fix for each, instead of letting Connect fail cryptically.
- The settings page now shows what the Free plan includes (100 conversations/month, no API keys, no per-message AI bills) before you connect.
- Listing: added a side-by-side comparison of how hosted and bring-your-own-key free plans differ (setup, who pays for AI, what happens at the limit, what you can measure).
2.4.0
- Listing refresh: clearer name (“Free AI Chatbot for WooCommerce”), four new screenshots (on-site recommendations block, in-chat product cards, operator workspace, journeys) and an expanded FAQ covering API keys, AI costs and the free plan.
- New: a gentle, dismissible review request on the WP dashboard once your store has been connected for two weeks (“Maybe later” snoozes it for a month; “Don’t ask again” is permanent).
- Fixed: products without an image could silently drop out of the on-site recommendations block’s page-matching.
2.3.2
- New: optional on-site “You may also like” recommendations block — the widget can embed AI-picked similar products natively on product pages (enable and position it from the Rynex dashboard’s Widget Studio).
- External services disclosure updated: the widget now reports product-page views (anonymous visitor ID) to power personalization; setting
ShopAgentConfig.trackingConsent = falsedisables this signal for consent-managed stores.
2.3.1
- Fixed: the settings page said “reconnect below” when the store was disconnected on the Rynex side or the API keys were revoked, but showed no reconnect control. There is now a one-click Reconnect button for both cases.
- Honest status: when the Rynex status check is temporarily unreachable, the page says so instead of claiming the widget is live.
2.3.0
- Settings page now shows the real widget state (“connected but not published yet”) and the number of products synced, instead of always claiming the widget is live.
- Listing: Free plan (100 conversations/month) and revenue attribution are now documented up front; added FAQ entries for pricing, add-to-cart and revenue reporting.
- Added Turkish, German and Spanish translations.
- Refreshed the translation template (POT).
2.2.0
- Plugin listing refresh: clearer title and description of what the assistant does.
- Expanded FAQ: HPOS, human handover, multilingual replies, and how recommendations work.
2.1.2
- Added plugin directory screenshots.
2.1.1
- Corrected the contributor username and added the author URI.
2.1.0
- Declared WooCommerce HPOS (custom order tables) and Cart/Checkout Blocks compatibility.
- Hardened the dashboard redirect with an explicit host allowlist.
- Text domain aligned with the plugin slug for translation support.
2.0.0
- One-click connect: automatic workspace provisioning, catalog sync, and widget installation.
- Open the Rynex dashboard directly from WP admin.
- WP-CLI commands:
wp rynex connect|disconnect|status.
1.0.0
- Order attribution: stamps the Rynex conversation id onto orders at checkout.
